SEO Manager

Are you ready for a key leadership role within an award-winning SEO team? As an SEO Manager at AYKO, you’ll work alongside industry-leading talent, helping shape the SEO success of some of the UK’s most recognisable e-commerce brands.


Reporting into the SEO Account Director, you’ll lead client strategies, mentor a team of SEOs, and oversee large-scale technical projects such as site migrations, all in a fast-paced, agency environment.

You will...

  • Lead SEO strategies across multiple client accounts, ensuring performance targets are met and exceeded
  • Line manage and mentor a team of SEO Executives and Specialists, supporting their development through coaching, feedback, and career planning
  • Own and drive technical SEO audits, including recommendations, implementation oversight, and reporting
  • Lead SEO migrations, from planning and risk mitigation to QA and post-launch performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, UX, Paid Media) to ensure SEO best practice is applied at every stage of the digital journey
  • Own and lead client communication, from reporting to strategy reviews and presentations.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of content and digital PR strategies designed to improve rankings, visibility, and authority
  • Stay up-to-date with SEO industry trends and algorithm updates, feeding these into your team’s learning and client strategies
  • Help shape internal processes, contributed to pitch work, and played a key role in scaling the department
  • 3+ years of SEO experience, preferably in an agency environment with e-commerce clients
  • Previous experience in a line management or team lead role, or a strong desire and ability to step into one
  • Deep knowledge of technical SEO, including crawling, indexing, site speed, and structured data
  • A track record of successful site migrations, including planning and post-launch analysis
  • Strong understanding of keyword strategy, on-page optimisation, and content-led growth
  • Confidence in using SEO tools like GA4, GSC, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and more
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience handling senior stakeholders and running client meetings
  • Strong analytical mindset and experience reporting on SEO KPIs and ROI
  • Experience developing and managing Digital PR/link-building campaigns
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and being an active part of team development
  • Familiarity with Magento, Shopify or Adobe Commerce platforms
  • Awareness of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how they impact SEO
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and tracking implementations
  • Salary from £30,000+ DOE
