Ladderstore Boosts Revenue with Smarter PPC Strategy

When Ladderstore began to see rising interest in scaffolding towers, Ayko’s PPC team stepped in to help them maximise this growth. Using strategic campaign restructuring, automation and dynamic optimisation across Google and Microsoft Ads, we delivered significant increases in revenue, conversions and average order value.

Identifying the Opportunity

Our team spotted an upward trend in demand for specific Ladderstore product types over several months. By analysing performance data and speaking directly with the client about brand priorities, we were able to identify high-value areas with strong sales potential.

At the same time, our internal ad scripts highlighted opportunities to automate how best-selling products were pushed through the feed, allowing PPC activity to react more quickly to real demand.

With November traditionally being a busy period for Ladderstore, this became the ideal moment to scale activity and maximise volume before heading into quieter months.

Our PPC Approach

To capture the growing demand efficiently and maintain a ROAS above the £7 target, our account manager carried out a focused set of actions:

  • Built new, high-quality campaigns around priority brands and product sets.
  • Developed tailored assets, including refined ad copy and optimised product images.
  • Kept search campaigns consolidated, using advanced ad customisers to match messaging dynamically to the exact search query.
  • Removed budget caps across key campaigns to reduce impression share loss, while using higher ROAS targets to keep spend under control.
  • Implemented in-house scripts to automate product feed updates based on real-time performance and sales data.

This combination of data-driven structure and intelligent automation ensured the campaigns generated the volume and value needed for Ladderstore’s growth goals.

The Results


The impact was immediate and substantial.

Month-on-month performance:

  • 70.4% increase in conversions
  • 36.92% increase in average order value
  • 133.31% increase in revenue
  • 17.22% increase in ROAS

Year-on-year performance:

  • 90.26% increase in conversions
  • 51.85% increase in average order value
  • 188.92% increase in revenue

Although ROAS decreased slightly year on year, revenue more than doubled both month on month and year on year. This was driven by increased demand and a successful shift towards higher-value product purchases. Even with increases in spend, returns remained strong.

Client Response

Ladderstore agreed to increase their media budget for November to take advantage of the rising demand and were pleased with the month’s performance. They have historically provided positive feedback on Ayko’s PPC management and were happy with the results and ROAS achieved.

Why This Matters

This project clearly demonstrates Ayko’s ability to combine strategic insight with technical expertise. Rather than simply increasing spend, we used automation, intelligent campaign design and dynamic ad tools to maximise every opportunity. The result was higher value customers, higher sales and a more efficient path to revenue growth for Ladderstore.
